American Sale - Tinley Park Outlet

My husband and I have been to the Orland location many times. We pass by the Tinley Outlet store all the time. We finally stopped in Thursday evening. We were quickly greeted by Ashley, who went over the pricing on the Christmas houses, etc. She was very friendly and informative. We had to leave quickly due to another obligation. We did, however, make it back in today. Ashley was again there and recognized us from the night before. She was again so nice and willing to help any way she could. My husband and I were there for well over an hour looking at the Christmas houses. Testing them, etc. Ashley and Joe were both so accommodating and helpful. It is very rare in todays world to have the pleasure of dealing with 2 sales associates such as them. As they were ringing up our purchase, we were talking about things to do with the houses and sentimental meanings of the houses, etc. I shared a story of my deceased Mom and how she collected them, etc. They were both so genuinely nice during this conversation. It actually made me tear up a bit to have received such heartwarming compassion by strangers. Thank you again Ashley and Joe! We will definitely be back!

I am not one to normally give a bad review, but in this case, I had no choice. American Sales had there normal holiday accessories for sale. I purchased a outdoor light that was rated for indoor and outdoor use. I had the light in use for three weeks and then it stopped working. I went to American Sales to get the light exchanged. I was told that all sales returns had to be by December 15th. I explained that this was not a return, but a warranty exchange. The manager told me that there were no exceptions. I asked who to contact, and the manager told me to Google the name on the box and call the manufacturer. No concern for customer service and literally no warranty on the products they sell. American Sales sells inferior products with no warranty. I found the manufacturer's contact info and discovered that they have a "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau. I have called three times with no return call. I recommend spending a little more money and buy on Amazon. At least they provide a warranty return policy during the holiday season until January 31, 2024 without going through the manufacturer.

This place has items at amazing value, and Ashley was incredibly helpful. She is very knowledgeable about items, she was patient with all our questions and took items out of the boxes for us to review before purchasing. She made the whole experience very surprisingly enjoyable. At a time in retail where it seems like nobody wants to do their jobs, this place is a model of what outstanding customer service is supposed to be. We will be back. And, as long as you don't rush in and buy things I was planning on buying, you should head over there too!

I hardly ever write a review, but I thought this was warrant for one. Ashley helped me out with a tree and spent lots of time trying to get the tree lights to work as well as dragged an entire another tree from the back which was extremely heavy. I feel she went above and beyond and had awesome customer service! Anyone going to an American Sale, go to the distribution center in Tinley Park and ask for Ashely. She was fantastic to deal with. Thank you again Ashley, appreciate all your efforts. VM

Went there to pick up my online order..I called the store in Timely and was told I could just go there, give my web order number and pick it up. When I got there I explained what I was told and the nice young girl behind the window gave my order printout to a much older warehouse worker. I forgot his name but he was very rude making a comment out loud saying " you can't just show up to get your order" Even after I explained what I was told. I gave the girl the name and number to the store. She was very kind and understanding that it wasn't my fault. But the guy in the warehouse needs to be trained on how to interact with customers.
